Sauramandala Foundation is an NGO founded in 2018 with a vision to bring about systemic change in the lives of remote communities through empathetic, collaborative, and contextual solutions that are co-created with the communities themselves.


The Centre for Accelerated Development (CFAD) by Sauramandala Foundation is a public policy framework that addresses the challenges remote and inaccessible communities face by accelerating social and economic change through collaborative action, working with the government to scale up programs to increase impact.


About CM Youth Center:

The Government of Meghalaya, in partnership with Sauramandala Foundation (www.sauramandala.org) and Project DEFY (www.projectdefy.org), has established 22 rural SDL (Self-directed learning) centres for youth, called the Chief Minister's Youth Center with an aim to build resilience, sustainability, and problem-solving skills in the next generation of the community. The youth centres are established to bridge the digital divide with the help of innovation and entrepreneurship skills by providing access to the Internet along with open learning opportunities. The main features of the centre are a Nook (SDL space), a Library/Arts and a Sports program. The learning is open to all ages to have more involvement from the community.


About the Role:

The Recruitment Manager will play a vital role in cultivating a positive and inclusive workplace culture across the organization while driving talent acquisition strategies that align with the values and vision of the foundation. This role is dedicated to fostering a safe, respectful, and engaging work environment by implementing thoughtful HR practices, supporting employee well-being, and facilitating transparent communication. The Recruitment Manager will lead recruitment processes, coordinate performance management systems, and contribute to employee engagement and development initiatives. Working closely with team leads and field staff, the Manager will ensure fair and efficient resolution of concerns, champion professional growth through impactful training programs, and maintain robust HR administration. This role is central to building a cohesive, high performing team and sustaining a workplace that values diversity, equity, and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:


Foster a Positive Workplace Environment:

  • Implement policies and practices that promote a safe, inclusive and respectful work environment

  • Address any conflict or issues promptly and fairly to maintain  harmonious work environment

  • Recognize and celebrate achievements and contributions

  • Develop methods to gather feedback and insights on the existing culture and identify areas to improve and implement changes.

Recruitment and Selection:

  • Coordinating the recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks if any.

  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of candidates.

  • Do the initial round of interviews and assessments and provide inputs on candidates to the teams.

Employee Relations:

  • Support the Team Lead in addressing employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution.

  • Conducting investigations and document findings and recommendations.

  • Help promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

  • Assist create employee engagement programs that align with the values of the org and promote a positive work environment

  • Encourage open and transparent communication channels across the organization.

  • Facilitate opportunities for employees to provide feedback and suggestions on improving the culture

Performance Management:

  • Assist in administering the performance management process, including goal-setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.

  • Assist in developing KRAs and a quarterly appraisal of employees

  • Assist the managers and employees understand and navigate the KRAs in alignment with timelines

  • Contribute to performance evaluation discussions and provide guidance as needed.

Training and Development:

  • Support developing and implementing training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

  • Coordinate training logistics, including scheduling, venue booking, and participant registration.

  • Evaluating training effectiveness and collecting feedback from participants.

  • Design programs that are focused on values, ethics, diversity & inclusion

HR Administration:

  • Maintain HR-related documentation, such as preparing employment contracts, letters, and other HR correspondence.

  • Maintain employee records, including personnel files, leave records, and other relevant documentation.

  • Support the Team lead in administering employee benefits programs, leave management, and other updates.

Eligibility:


  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • Experience: 4-6 years of experience in recruitment or HR support roles. Experience in recruitment processes, interview scheduling, and candidate coordination.

  • Workplace Culture & Engagement: Proven ability to foster inclusive, positive work environments through engagement programs, conflict resolution, and team-building initiatives.

  • Performance & Learning: Experience supporting performance appraisal processes and coordinating professional development and training programs.

  • Communication & Facilitation: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse teams and ensure open, transparent communication across the organization.

  • HR Operations: Proficiency in maintaining HR documentation, managing employee records, and supporting benefits administration and compliance.

  • Analytical & Organizational Skills: Ability to use data and feedback to evaluate

  • HR strategies and processes, and make informed improvements.

  • Proficiency in local languages (Khasi, Jaintia, or Garo) is highly desirable.
